Prerequisites


There are no formal pre-requisites for this program; however appropriate experience in the building and construction industry as well as a basic knowledge of the BCA and other standards is required.

Assessment via interview and portfolio of evidence is available to participants with relevant workplace experience within building and construction environments.

Course Description

This qualification provides a trade outcome in joinery, covering work in residential and commercial applications and has compulsory requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as two specialist fields of work.

Assessment

Participants are required to undertake a number of assessment activities, including:

  • Self-assessment
  • Third-party assessment
  • Competency conversation
  • Completion of a portfolio of evidence.
